In an effort to support those who've paid the ultimate sacrifice, the Minnesota Law Enforcement Memorial Association (LEMA) has cooked up a piping-hot fundraiser that’s a real slice of community spirit. Dubbed Drive-Thru Difference Day, scheduled to hit the streets on May 22, this event is all about getting folks to grab a pizza and give back to the families of officers who have fallen while serving and protecting.
For those in the Eden Prairie area, it's as easy as cruising down to Star Bank at 250 Prairie Center Drive, where between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., they can pick up a Brew Pub pizza that is hot, ready, and just waiting to be devoured, the Eden Prairie Police Department blog announced. And for anyone who's ever fancied a peek inside a squad car, local officers will be on hand from 3-5 p.m. with vehicles open for tours.
According to the official promotion on the Eden Prairie Police Department blog, pizza lovers can secure their dinner in advance by placing their order at bernatellos.com/DriveThruMN right up until May 22. LEMA suggests a $10 donation for each pizza, but, hey, generosity is always welcome, and you can also snag a pie or two right at the event without pre-ordering.
