
A deadly crash in Harris County claimed the life of a motorist last night when their vehicle slammed into a light pole on the 12000 block of Spring Cypress, local authorities confirmed.
The accident shut down all lanes in the vicinity as deputies from the Harris County Sheriff's Office investigated the scene, according to a post from the HCSO. The driver, whose identity has yet to be released waiting for next of kin to be notified, was pronounced dead at the scene, their journey ending abruptly in the collision.

Efforts to return normalcy to the area are underway, with a crew from CenterPoint Energy dispatched to stabilize the compromised power pole and its attendant wires, in a bid to preempt further risk to the public and restore the disrupted utilities.
