Free workshops are coming your way, offering a financial lifeline for students looking to untangle the complexities of financial aid for college or trade school. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), a gateway to a myriad of aid programs, is no walk in the park – but help is at hand with upcoming local workshops designed to guide students through the process.
The sessions, presented by Access ASU, promise to provide individualized support for completing the essential FAFSA form. The Main Library will host the workshop on Saturday, June 8, from 11 am to 12 pm. Those closer to Red Mountain Library can pencil in the following Saturday, June 15, with a 10 am to 11 am slot. And, for students near Dobson Ranch Library, the opportunity to attend falls on Saturday, June 29, between 2 pm and 3 pm, as reported by Mesaaz.gov.
College Ready AZ is also stepping up to the plate with additional workshop opportunities. Any East Valley residents are welcome to visit The Studios @ Mesa City Center on June 1 from 10 am until 2 pm. Tucson's got its own back with a separate session the same day at Pima Community College's Downtown Campus during the same times. Last, for those in the Metro Phoenix area, the College Depot is opening its doors on June 22, also from 10 am to 2 pm. Attendees are encouraged to reserve their spots early.
