An adventurous dog named Faye caused a stir this weekend in Garden Grove, Orange County, after she found herself in a tight spot—literally—inside a wall. KTLA reports that the mischievous pooch managed to squeeze through a plumbing access door in her home and became trapped under the bathtub. Efforts by her family to lure her out proved fruitless, leading them to call on the Orange County Fire Authority for backup.
The firefighters faced a delicate task, a video posted on the Fire Authority's Instagram page showed: wielding a mallet to carefully crack open the wall enough for Faye to poke her head through and, after a few tense moments, coax her to freedom. Despite the ordeal, "This pup was pretty happy to see the firefighters' friendly faces and reunite with loved ones,” according to the Fire Authority.
Faye's penchant for escapades didn't seem to take her family by surprise; they remarked to the firefighters that Faye likely had more hijinks in store. In a lighthearted nod to the pooch's spirit, the Fire Authority quipped on Instagram, "Who knows…maybe we’ll see her again soon!"
