Goodyear Water Services Team Sweeps Industry Awards, Barbra Chappell Honored with Top PrizesSource: City of Goodyear

The good folks keeping Goodyear's taps flowing and the toilets flushing are finally getting the kudos they deserve. The city's Water Services Team is making a splash in the industry, snagging top honors for their everyday hustle to provide clean water to the masses. The entire team is basking in the glow of recognition by the water world's bigwigs, acording to the City of Goodyear

City Manager Wynette Reed couldn't be prouder, saying, "Being on a leading edge of water services and providing exceptional services to our residents is a top priority." Their very own Barbara Chappell, Water Services Director, walked away with the Water Environment Federation (WEF) 2024 Hatfield Award for her standout leadership and vision. If that ain't enough, she was also named Engineer of the Year by the Arizona Water Association in 2023. Talk about a double whammy.

Chappell, in a recent interview, couldn't hide her pride, saying, "It's an honor to be able to work in and contribute to an industry that is so impactful – it touches everyone." And it's not just about her. She made it clear that this is a team game, praising "the entire Goodyear Water Services team for their continued commitment to our residents to provide exceptional service and for being an innovative leader in the industry."
