Rockin' to a new venue due to iffy weather, tonight's Havana NRG! concert has taken a detour to the cozy confines of Lewisville Grand Theater's Huffines Performance Hall. In a swift move, music lovers will get the chance to shake their salsa hips indoors with doors swinging open at 6:30 p.m. Premiere Latino band Havana NRG!, known for their electric salsa beats, will headline the Sounds of Lewisville series tonight starting at 7 p.m., as reported by the City of Lewisville, Texas.
Due to the smaller indoor setting of the Huffines Performance Hall, seating is up for grabs on a first-come, first-serve basis. No need to lug chairs from home this time around as the venue has got your back(side). While you're enjoying the spicy sounds of salsa, the venue will keep outside munchies at bay; maybe check out Old Town Lewisville's restaurant offerings before hand-clapping your way through a vibrant setlist.
For those parched from all that foot-tapping and shoulder-shaking, Vizcarra Hospitality will run a bar where plastic and paper currency is king. Four-legged friends will have to sit this one out unless they’re service animals, making the cut to be inside. The city's announcement informed attendees that all parking details remain as originally planned, treating this new indoor rendezvous just like any other night at the Wayne Ferguson Plaza.
But don’t you worry about your Tuesday night plans for the rest of the summer – the concert series continues with an array of tribute acts and firework finales set to punctuate the schedule. From Just Like P!NK to the sounds of the '80s nobody will be left out in the cold, figuratively speaking, of course, throughout May and June. The grand finale with ESCAPE – the Journey tribute band, will tie a patriotic bow on the series on July 2, complete with a low-level fireworks show launched from the very roof of where you’ll be bustin' a move tonight. And if being part of the action tickles your fancy, the city is still on the hunt for volunteer warriors to staff information booths and make concertgoers feel like rock stars. The call for volunteers was announced on the city's web page, where those interested can sign up and make a difference.
