
Houston police are scratching their heads over a deadly shooting that left one man dead in a business parking lot in the city's south side. The incident unfolded late Saturday night at approximately 10:45 p.m. at 3703 McHard Road, as confirmed by a City of Houston news release.
The victim, a 38-year-old male whose identity has yet to be disclosed, was found by HPD patrol officers, unresponsive and suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the rapid response of Houston Fire Department paramedics, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators are now on the hunt for any possible suspect, whilst clues remain scarce.
HPD Homicide Division's own Sergeant K. Persad along with Detectives L. Gonzales and A. Farmer are spearheading the investigation. With the shooter still at large, and the motives veiled in mystery, local authorities are urging any witnesses or individuals with knowledge pertinent to the case to come forward.
