
Tragedy struck early Sunday morning when a 43-year-old man was found dead beneath an SUV on Cullen Boulevard, Houston. According to City of Houston News, the grim discovery was made around 4:40 a.m., prompting a response from local law enforcement and emergency services.
The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences is currently working to confirm the identity of the deceased. Meanwhile, the Houston Police Department's Homicide Division Sergeants, A. Lopez, Detective N. Sharp stated the initial call was in response to a vehicle crash at the 13300 block of Cullen Boulevard. A female driver, 44, who was involved in the incident was detained, questioned, and subsequently released at the scene, authorities revealed.
The circumstance leading to the male's death remains uncertain, and officials are waiting on an autopsy to ascertain the exact cause. The HPD has not yet outlined any suspicions or theories regarding the fatality and has not disclosed if the incident was deemed accidental or intentional.
As the investigation forges ahead, the HPD is urging anyone with information to come forward and share what they know. "Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600," as stated on the City of Houston's news release.
