Man Bitten and Another Stabbed in Violent Altercation in Seattle’s Chinatown-International DistrictSource: Seattle Police Department

A Sunday morning stroll turned vicious in the Chinatown-International District when a man was assaulted, resulting in a bizarre bite-and-stab incident. Seattle Police rushed to the scene after a distress call concerning a violent altercation that left one man with his fingers chomped and another with stab wounds.

According to the Seattle Police Department, officers received a 911 call around 10:20 am, reporting an assault in the 700 block of Main Street. They arrived to find a 39-year-old male with severe injuries to two of his fingers. Nearby lay a 59-year-old male, found suffering from multiple stab wounds to his back.

Both individuals received on-scene treatment from the Seattle Fire Department. The bitten man was promptly whisked away to Harborview Medical Center, reported to be stable as of the latest update. The older male assailant, also treated at the same hospital, is currently listed in serious condition.

Investigators pieced together that the victim had been walking his dog when he got into an altercation with the suspect, allegedly over a bicycle. The suspect then proceeded to attack the victim by aggressively biting his fingers. In self-defense, the victim used a key chain knife to stab the suspect. Meanwhile, the dog emerged from the chaos unscathed and was taken to a local animal shelter.

The crime scene was cordoned off as detectives from the Homicide & Assault Unit combed the area for evidence. The stabbing, gruesomely unique in its nature, remains under investigation, as authorities work to unravel the exact sequence of events that led to this violent exchange.
