A 25-year-old man is fighting for his life after a shooting incident in Flint escalated to a vehicular crash while he sought urgent care, authorities reported. The shooting occurred late Sunday night at 2905 N. Saginaw St., a Marathon gas station, according to the Michigan State Police.
The victim, whose identity was withheld by police, was attempting to drive himself to an area hospital when he was involved in as yet unspecified crash. Details of both the shooting and the crash remains sparse, but the man's condition has been labeled as critical following his arrival at the hospital, ABC 12 reported.
The Flint Major Case Unit, consisting of Flint Police Department and Michigan State Police officers, is actively investigating the incident. However, as of Monday, the authorities have not disclosed any potential motives or identified any suspects in connection with the shooting. The case continues to evolve, with investigators pleading with the public to come forward with any information that might shed light on the events that transpired that night.
