The search for a missing senior came to a relief-filled end on Saturday. The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that 65-year-old Alfred Garcia, who had been the subject of a Silver Alert, was found and is now back with his family. According to KSAT, Garcia was last seen at the EZPawn store on South Presa Street in San Antonio.
Garcia, was described as standing 5 feet tall, with gray hair and brown eyes. He was remembered for his distinctive Dallas Cowboy baseball cap, a gray T-shirt, and blue jean shorts – as well as tattoos marked on both of his knuckles, the time of his disappearance. The Texas Department of Public Safety, had been enlisted to aid in the hunt by issuing a Silver Alert on behalf of the local sheriff's office.
In an encouraging turn of events, he was located before the midday sun reached its zenith on Saturday. It has been reported by KENS 5 that Garcia was safely found in good condition and has since been united with his relieved family members.
While the details of Garcia’s brief disappearance and subsequent discovery remain under wraps, the end of the Silver Alert brings a closure to the community and his loved ones. Anyone with lingering questions or information was previously directed to make contact with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office. With Garcia safe, and back home, those lines may now fall silent, filled instead, with a quiet gratitude.
