Motorists in Morrison County might face some slowdowns this week as road crews get down to business on a series of maintenance and construction efforts. Crews will be spreading gravel on County Road 239 and County Road 268, while separate teams tackle potholes and crack sealing work on CSAH 23 and CSAH 38, aiming to smooth things over for local drivers, as detailed by Morrison County. This routine maintenance is a part of the county's ongoing efforts to maintain infrastructure and keep roads safe for travel.
Additionally, contracted construction crews will be busy with pavement patches and culvert work along County Road 225. CSAH 1, County Road 205, and County Road 206 are slated for a more comprehensive overhaul, including milling, paving& shouldering operations. According to Morrison County, pavement markings will also see a fresh coat of paint right across the county. Residents and commuters alike can expect to see these improvements unfold throughout the week.
The county has advised the public to remain vigilant around the hustle of maintenance activities, flaggers, and work crews and to be especially careful of wet paint. Flashing lights and warning signs are likely to be a more frequent sight — a small inconvenience for the necessary upkeep of the thoroughfares that stitch together the communities within Morrison County.
