
A 27-year-old motorcyclist, Ansar Azim, was killed in a collision with a Jeep near the intersection of 22nd Street and Indian School Road. Phoenix police reported the fatal accident occurred early Saturday morning, with Azim being transported to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. 12News indicated the Jeep's driver, a 53-year-old man, had attempted to turn left onto Indian School Road not yielding to Azim resulting in the collision with Azim's motorcycle traveling west.
Detectives at the scene are probing the possibility of impairment as a factor in the crash, the driver of the Jeep could face charges pending a toxicology report and a thorough reconstruction of the deadly scene, as reported by FOX 10 Phoenix, and the driver remained at the scene cooperating with authorities after the crash occurred.
