The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking help from the community in finding Ashay Burgess, a 20-year-old who has been reported missing since March 18. Ashay was last seen at noon on that day in the 3300 block of N. Hancock Street, according to police. A resident of the 25th District, she is known to hang around the West Philly and Kensington areas, as reported by the Philadelphia Police Department.
Police describe Ashay as being 4'11" tall and weighing around 115 lbs. She has brown eyes and black hair. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing blue shorts, a black shirt, and green shoes. Authorities are urging anyone who has information on her whereabouts to get in contact immediately, as her family and friends are deeply concerned for her safety.
The plea for information went public on May 14, with Philadelphia police posting an alert on their official blotter website. The summary on the website gives a quick snapshot of Burgess's physical attributes and the last attire she was known to be wearing, in hopes that someone might recognize her and come forward.
