However, there's a silver lining for swimmers and sunbathers: Lake Phalen Beach and the Highland Park Aquatic Center are gearing up to welcome visitors for pre-season dips, weather permitting, on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
Although the city has prepared for an influx of beachgoers by opening Lake Phalen Beach on May 25 and Highland Park Aquatic Center on May 26, attendees are encouraged to check the local weather and plan accordingly.
