San Tan Valley residents were pedaling towards community bonding this past weekend as Supervisor Mike Goodman and his District 2 team hosted a Bike Rodeo event, saddling up for a day of family-friendly activities aimed at promoting outdoor fun and bicycle safety.
The heart of the May 18th rodeo, an Adopt-a-Bike program, was an opportunity for locals to donate their gently used bicycles, which were then spruced up and given a new life with those looking for a bike to call their own, Goodman's office ensuring no kid left without the chance to learn to ride and enjoy the benefits of cycling.
Joining the community effort, the Pinal County Sheriff's Office and Voter Outreach threw their support in the ring, providing safety tips and civic education to the attending crowd, among those present were over 20 local businesses who set up booths, peddling their goods and services to the families in attendance.
