A daring home invasion has led to the arrest of a teenage duo suspected of a string of robberies in the Humble area. Early this morning, Constable Mark Herman’s Office deputies were dispatched to the scene of a violent break-in at the 16300 block of Tulipan Spring Trl. According to the office's Facebook page, three Hispanic males reportedly broke into a home, fired shots, and held the occupants at gunpoint before fleeing in a stolen white Jeep Cherokee and the white Dodge Ram they arrived in.
While still piecing together the crime scene, deputies were called to take action on another robbery report, this time in the 6900 block of Fuchsia Lane. The victim described a similar ordeal, robbed at gunpoint by male suspects who then escaped in a white pickup truck. Constable deputies promptly scoured the area and managed to swiftly locate a vehicle fitting the description. In the 5300 block of Flax Bourton Drive, two suspects, a 13-year-old juvenile and an 18-year-old adult male, were detained. The victims were able to positively identify these males as the criminals who had robbed them, as mentioned in the constable’s Facebook post.
Authorities report that the third suspect managed to evade capture and is currently at large, with the investigation ongoing to establish his identity. In a turn of events that brought relief to the victims, the stolen Jeep Cherokee from the earlier home invasion was also located and recovered. Specific details surrounding the capture and the ongoing search for the third suspect have not been disclosed at this time.
The identities of the apprehended suspects have been withheld due to legal constraints and the ongoing nature of the investigation.
