
A woman was left fighting for her life after being hit by a Valley Metro bus in Phoenix, marking the second such incident in just a couple of days. The collision, which occurred early Tuesday morning near 35th Avenue and Osborn Road, resulted in serious life-threatening injuries to the pedestrian, who remains unidentified.
According to ABC 15, the crash happened around 6 a.m., shortly after which the victim was rushed to an hospital for treatment. The details of what lead to the crash are still being investigated by the authorities, as is the condition of the woman involved who was reportedly taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
The area where the incident took place was temporarily closed down, with Maricopa County Department of Transportation advising the public via X to avoid the area and seek alternate routes. This follows on the heels of another fatal crash that happened on Monday morning, raising concerns over the safety of the city’s transportation system. In that collision, a driver was killed after colliding head-on with a bus near 19th Avenue and Cactus Road, as reported by ABC 15.
