
A 35-year-old woman was killed early Friday morning when her car struck a utility pole in Springettsbury Township. The fatal incident occurred around 3:30 A.M. at the intersection of Stonewood Road and Trowbridge Road.
Emergency responders found the woman, whose identity has not been released, conscious outside her vehicle, the York County Coroner's Office informed ABC27. However, despite initial signs of alertness, her condition rapidly deteriorated and she later became unresponsive.
She was rushed to Wellspan York Hospital where she was pronounced dead at approximately 5:00 A.M., as reported by FOX43. It was noted that the woman was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision, a factor that may have contributed to the severity of her injuries.
The coroner has ruled the manner of death as accidental and attributed it to blunt force trauma resulting from the crash, WGAL details. Springettsbury Township Police are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of this tragic accident.
