
A woman lost her life early this morning after a pickup truck rammed into her stalled vehicle along the 22300 block of NW Freeway near Telge, authorities have reported. Officers from the Harris County Sheriff's Office alongside their Vehicular Crimes Division were dispatched to the tragic scene where the female driver was declared dead. Traffic was backed up as the incident led to significant delays, prompting officials to advise motorists to seek alternative routes.
The crash that took place on the inbound lanes of the 290 highway caused major traffic disruptions, as investigators and the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences worked through the morning to unravel the unfortunate chain of events that unfolded, although two lanes remained open, commuters were stuck in traffic for the better part of the hour trying to navigate around the bottleneck. According to a post by Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, a “quick estimate of about an hour” was given before lanes were to be cleared completely.

The late morning saw the reopening of the roadway, with normal traffic resuming as the forensic team completed their on-site investigation. Officials have not yet released the identity of the deceased, pending notification of next of kin.
