A woman is recovering from gunshot wounds after an early morning shooting incident at a south Phoenix apartment complex on Monday.
The shooting occurred shortly after 5 a.m. at a residential area near 14th Street and Broadway Road, where first responders found the injured woman, according to FOX 10 Phoenix. She was transported to the hospital with injuries deemed serious, but not life-threatening.
"Officers followed up at different apartments and contacted several individuals however no arrest [sic] have been made at this time," Sgt. Brian Bower said, in a statement obtained by FOX 10 Phoenix. Details surrounding the gunfire remain hazy as law enforcement continues their investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
Similarly, AZ Family reported that the Phoenix police interviewed multiple people present at the scene, but have yet to make an arrest. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not provided any clear motives or suspects related to the shooting as of now.
