From May 13th through May 19th, the Wright County Sheriff’s Office reported a string of arrests, marking a busy week for law enforcement. Among those apprehended were individuals charged with a variety of infractions, ranging from Violations of Domestic Abuse No Contact Orders, multiple instances of 3rd Degree Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), and incidents involving Controlled Substances.

As revealed in the official county report, Victoria Ruth Kolstad, Joseph Marucha Mandieka, and Isaac Wynne Badowski are among the many facing DWI-related charges. The report further details David Michel Hofer's arrest on more severe charges of 2nd Degree Assault and 1st Degree Burglary, whilst Candida Evangelista and Akeim Joseph Cooley were rounded up for Controlled Substance violations.

Amidst the traffic infractions, Wright County officers were also to promptly respond to several vehicle-related incidents. The period saw a total of 19 Property Damage Accidents, eight Personal Injury Accidents, and four Hit and Run Accidents, imposing additional strains on law enforcement personnel and, by extension, the communities they serve.

The county's diligence in enforcing traffic laws manifested in the issuance of tickets for 102 miscellaneous traffic violations. Additionally, the law enforcement officers had to manage six School Bus Stop Arm Violations, underscoring the importance of maintaining student safety in school zones.

Overall, the week’s arrests and traffic incidents paint a grim portrait of the challenges faced by small-town law enforcement and the ongoing efforts to uphold the rule of law on Wright County's roads and in its homes.
