
A juvenile male has been arrested in West Seattle following a shooting incident that occurred on June 10th. According to the Seattle Police Department's blog, officers responded to reports of gunfire involving three juveniles near the 10100 block of 32nd Place Southwest, close to an occupied home.
Upon arrival at the scene at 11:53 a.m., the police found spent shell casings by a small pond with no reported injuries. Two suspects were apprehended after attempting to quickly flee the area on foot. A semi-automatic handgun was discovered in the possession of one of the juveniles, who was then taken into custody.
The unidentified 16-year-old male has been booked into juvenile detention on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. He is currently being held at the Judge Patricia H. Clark Children & Family Justice Center. A second juvenile was questioned and subsequently released, while the third involved party remains at large.
The investigation is to be carried forward by the Gun Violence Reduction Unit. No further details regarding the incident or the juveniles involved have been provided at this time. The community has been left to await additional information as detectives work to fully uncover the circumstances of the shooting.
