Constable Mark Herman's office reported the arrest of a shoplifting suspect at a local HEB on Spring Cypress Road. On June 1, Orchard County deputies responded to the call and caught Erriel Collins-Simpson, who had allegedly concealed cosmetics worth $350 and attempted to leave the store without paying for them, according to the store's statement.
The deputies arrived and were immediately briefed about the situation, following which they located Collins-Simpson, the retrieved merchandise was immediately returned to the business, ensuring that their inventory did not suffer from the theft, and it was this type of responsive action that emphasizes the close cooperation between local businesses and law enforcement. According to a statement obtained by the Constable's Facebook page, "Erriel Collins-Simpson was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Theft."
