Grand Prairie's entertainment scene is set to accelerate with a new player in town. According to a report by CultureMap Dallas, Andretti Indoor Karting & Games, an Orlando-based chain known for its go-kart racing and arcade games, is scheduled to open a new location at 3750 SH-161, near the DFW Airport. The venue, boasting 92,000 square feet of high-octane fun, is expected to start its engines in early July.
Thrill-seekers and speed demons, both young and not-so-young, will find something to get their hearts racing. Andretti's fleet of electric Superkarts is designed to quickly turn to speed across a multi-level track, with Junior karts hitting speeds up to 20 mph, Intermediate up to 25 mph, and Adult karts up to 35 mph. Furthermore, they'll feature cutting-edge arcade games, virtual reality experiences, laser tag, interactive bowling, and a 7D movie theater. As reported by The Dallas Express, the facility operates on a pay-as-you-go basis, negating the need for a general admission fee.
This family-friendly entertainment complex is not just about the racetrack. Foodies and those looking to unwind can also enjoy chef-designed menus featuring brick oven pizzas and three full bars. Every Andretti location aims to be a one-stop shop for entertainment, dining, and socializing, appealing to all age groups and preferences.
The Grand Prairie community is revving up to welcome the new venue and the excitement it promises. "We are thrilled to bring the joy of Andretti Indoor Karting & Games to the community of Grand Prairie this summer," Collette Shillcutt, general manager of the Grand Prairie Andretti location, told CultureMap Dallas. "We know the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex is bustling with families, some recently having moved to the area, and are seeking a way to connect and create memories and fun. We can't wait to welcome in the community to show them our new entertainment center and give them the world-class Andretti experience."
To kick off the Grand Prairie location's grand entrance, Andretti is planning giveaways for the opening weekend on July 10. The first 50 guests will have the opportunity to receive a free Andretti-logo YETI tumbler, and the first 100 guests might win a free birthday party valued at up to $500. It's clear that Andretti is doing more than just putting the pedal to the metal with go-karts; they're engineering an entire ecosystem of entertainment and hospitality.
