The onset of summer brought more than just sunny days and balmy nights to our community this past Saturday, the 4th Annual Child Safety Fair was in full swing, bringing with it a commitment to children's well-being and public awareness. The fair, hosted by the Argyle Police Department, marked its fourth consecutive year of fostering a safer environment for the young ones as summer's adventures beckon, as per the Denton County Emergency Services District #1.
Among the highlights of the day were nearly 300 free life jackets distributed to eager families, a gesture made possible through the collaborative efforts of the local firefighters, Safe Kids Worldwide, and Cook Children's—a trifecta united by the singular goal of water safety for children and adults alike. "Our firefighters gave out nearly 300 FREE life jackets to encourage water safety for kiddos and adults," shared the Denton County Emergency Services District #1. In addition to this, PHI Air Medical Dentoh provided a dose of excitement by bringing in a helicopter, while the Krum Fire Department supplied an educational house, making for a blend of learning and thrill.
