Arlington City Council is opening its doors for in-person council meetings starting tomorrow, June 11. Following the regular business protocols, two sessions will be held at different times: a 3 p.m. work session in the City Council Briefing Room, and a 6:30 p.m. meeting in the Council Chamber. Both locations are nestled in the heart of Arlington's civic buildings at 101 W. Abram St., ready to reconnect the governing body with its community.
For residents unable or preferring not to attend in person, the city has made provisions to ensure citizens are still able to conveniently, and directly, participate in the civic process. The afternoon and evening sessions will be streamed live on the City’s website and available through local cable providers. The City acknowledges the necessity of keeping its citizens informed and engaged, no matter where they choose to watch.
If catching the live stream isn't an option, Arlington's residents won't miss out. Recordings of both meetings will be replayed on the government cable channel throughout the ensuing week. Viewing schedules and options are diverse, including AT&T U-verse Channel 99, Spectrum Channel 16, 15.1 (digital), and internet live-streaming. Details on how to watch these meetings are available in the City of Arlington, Texas.
