
A tragic car accident resulted in the death of a young woman on Roosevelt Boulevard Tuesday afternoon, according to officials. The Philadelphia Police reported that the 26-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene after her gold Toyota Camry struck a tree in the median and spun out, ultimately causing her ejection onto the northbound lane, as noted by FOX 29.
The portion of the Boulevard where the incident took place was subsequently closed for investigation, and traffic was diverted as the Crash Investigation Division took the lead on the case; whereas, the victim's identity has not been disclosed, and the events leading up to the collision have yet to be fully understood, amidst the ongoing investigation traffic flow was disrupted for several hours according to CBS News Philadelphia.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the site between Solly and Haldeman avenues near the Bustleton section of the city where the single-vehicle crash had tragically cut short a life. Medics declared the woman unresponsive and death was confirmed at approximately 4:20 p.m.
