Law enforcement officials from Harris County announced the arrest of a wanted suspect following a routine traffic stop earlier this week. Deeper scrutiny by the deputies allowed for the correct identification of the individual as Dustin Riley. According to a post on Constable Mark Herman's official Facebook page, Riley was wanted on two felony charges: Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Possession of a Controlled Substance. In the continuation of their search, deputies discovered him in possession of 8.2 grams of methamphetamine.
The arrest occurred without further incident, with Riley being taken into custody and charged for his outstanding warrants alongside the new drug possession charge. "Dustin Riley was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrants, and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance," Constable Mark Herman stated in the social media update. The information regarding Riley's bond was not immediately available from the 337th District Court.
