Authorities in Harris County have apprehended a man following a disturbance involving a firearm discharge, according to officials from Constable Mark Herman's Office. The incident unfolded late on June 18 when deputies arrived at a residence on Quail Tree Lane after receiving reports of gunfire. There, they encountered Owen Trayal, a man who appeared to be under the influence of an unidentified substance.
Upon detention and questioning, Trayal confessed to being high on drugs. A subsequent search by the deputies revealed he was in possession of crystal methamphetamine, a controlled substance. as Constable Mark Herman's Office reported on Facebook, “Owen Trayal was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. His bond was set at $2,500.00 out of the 185th District Court.”
The case is pending further adjudication as Trayal awaits the legal process set by the 185th District Court. The bond amount of $2,500 suggests that, the court is taking a measured approach to the offense. Details regarding the initial report of the firearm discharge remain sparse, and officials have not disclosed if any additional charges relating to that incident are forthcoming.
