A community member's swift actions led to the safe return of a missing child to their family in Hennepin County earlier this week. According to a report, on the evening of June 12, a child was spotted alone close to Zanewood School located at the 7200 Block of Zane Ave N. The individual, referred to as a good samaritan, initially attempted to help the child find their parents before contacting the police at around 8:50 P.M.
Soon after the police were engaged, they collaborated with Hennepin County Social Workers to ensure the child received appropriate temporary care. In a fortuitous turn of events, the parent of the child called in regarding the missing child, which ultimately led to their reunion. The child, whose details have not been disclosed presumably to protect their privacy, was confirmed to be unharmed following the incident.
