A 27-year-old motorcycle rider named Cody Heron has been sentenced to one to four years in prison following a high-profile altercation in Center City last year. Heron pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated assault and one count of possession of an instrument of crime in connection with the incident that unfolded near City Hall, as reported by The Philadelphia Inquirer. The viral video of the event captured Heron as he jumped on the rear windshield of a woman's vehicle, headbutted her, and subsequently threatened her with a gun.
During the confrontation that took place on October 1, Heron had originally been knocked down by Nikki Bullock, the mother of two children present in the car, after she exited her vehicle to confront him. The ensuing chaos was recorded when he took out his gun and started smashing the rear windshield, before fleeing from the scene, leaving behind terrified victims and a trail of shattered glass, as recounted by CBS News Philadelphia. This clarification reveals that the gun had accidentally fallen from Heron's waistband during the physical altercation.
Heron was later apprehended at a location in the Frankford section of Philadelphia, which led to his arrest and subsequent guilty plea earlier this year. According to 6abc, authorities reported that Heron confessed to initiating the altercation and that he had been carrying a handgun during the encounter.
