A collision between a train and an 18-wheeler occurred earlier today near Highway 290 in the Jersey Village area, resulting in the semi-truck being sliced in half. The incident took place on Wright Road at the eastbound service road of the Northwest Freeway, just outside the Beltway. According to KHOU, no injuries have been reported as of yet in the aftermath of the wreckage.
Cleanup efforts were in process by the afternoon, with the train having already been moved to allow for debris removal from the crash site.
