Philadelphia's Central Detective Division has extended a request to the public for assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a recent theft incident. The event took place in the early hours of the morning on June 13, when an individual is reported to have entered the rear gated area of a residence on the 1000 block of Waverly Street.
According to a police report published yesterday, the suspect, captured on nearby surveillance video, managed to get away with a silver SEB bicycle. Fleeing in an unknown direction, the theft occurred approximately at 5:07 am.
The suspect's description has been circulated alongside the footage with hopes that community members might provide valuable information leading to an apprehension. Described as a Black male, he was last seen wearing a gray hat, an orange shirt, white shorts over black pants, and blue and white sneakers. Notably, earrings were observed in his left ear.
Community involvement is considered crucial in cases such as this, where limited information is available. The public is being urged to come forward with any details they might have concerning the suspect or his whereabouts. Anyone with information is kindly asked to contact the Central Detective Division as the search continues.
