
Philadelphia authorities are turning to the public for help identifying a man involved in a recent commercial robbery. On June 15, at around 1:38 p.m., an individual reportedly stole several items from the Dollar General store at 1300 West Lehigh Avenue, as per the Philadelphia Police Department.
The situation escalated when the suspect, upon being confronted by store employees, brandished a knife claiming he had a permit to carry, although no firearm was seen, according to the Philadelphia Police blotter. The Central Detective Division has released video footage of the suspect in the hope that someone will come forward with information.
The suspect has been described as a Black male donning dark clothing, light color sneakers, a dark "Champion" baseball hat, and a dark backpack. The Philadelphia Police urge anyone with knowledge regarding the suspect or the incident to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
