Last Saturday, the San Rafael Police Department responded to a rather startling discovery. A good Samaritan attempting to assist a driver with a broken-down car stumbled upon more than just mechanical failure. They spotted a gun and a knife inside the vehicle, which was stationary in a parking lot on the 700 block of B Street.
As reported by the San Rafael Police Department, the officers on the scene detained the driver, and their subsequent search uncovered a loaded .38 caliber Colt revolver. But the findings didn't stop at weaponry. The driver was also carrying a controlled substance and the requisite paraphernalia for its use.
