A Spring Hill man, Navor Mora, 24, is facing charges of attempted first-degree murder after a dispute with his brother escalated to gunfire. The altercation occurred at a home on Stillwater Avenue, as reported by FOX 13 News. Mora contacted 911 early Tuesday morning to inform authorities of the incident, leading to the victim being transported to a local trauma center for treatment.
The argument that sparked the violent encounter allegedly began over a note. According to WTSP, the note, slid under Mora's door by his brother, berated him as a "bum" and urged him to find the employment. This prompted Mora to arm himself, confront his brother, and punch him in the chin during the ensuing argument.
An attempt by a woman to diffuse the situation resulted in Mora falling onto her and then shooting his brother multiple times. Despite the severity of the act, Mora claimed to detectives that killing his brother was not his intent, as stated in an interview with ABC Action News. Mora's brother is expected to recover from his injuries fully.
