A reported armed robbery in Brooklyn Park led to the swift arrest of a suspect on the evening of June 17. According to the Brooklyn Park Police, a call came in at approximately 6:18 P.M. about a male perpetrator who had reportedly pointed a handgun at a woman in the parking lot of a business located on the 1500 block of Brookdale Drive North. The authorities responded promptly to the scene of the incident.
Fleeing on foot as officers arrived, the suspect was seen, and not long after, he was taken into custody by the law enforcement team. During the swift action, running after the suspect, a firearm was also recovered which the suspect had in his possession. Officers concluded that the male had indeed committed the robbery at gunpoint after an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Fortunately, the victim involved in the harrowing ordeal was reported to be unharmed. The authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved, keeping in practice with the protocol in ongoing investigations. The suspect, however, is currently facing multiple charges stemming from the robbery. Details about the specific charges have not been disclosed at this time.
