Three suspects, all armed with guns, committed a carjacking at a Shell gas station in Tampa this past Sunday, reports FOX 13 News. The incident, which occurred shortly after 11 a.m. at the location of 5100 Adamo Drive, resulted in the theft of a 2016 Hyundai. The Tampa Police Department was on the scene responding to the crime.
Not long after the carjacking, Tampa Police located the stolen vehicle on the 1900 Block of East Fletcher Avenue, approximately an hour later, as per the information by WTSP. Found the car, the suspects had already fled from the vehicle when officers arrived at the scene, leading to an immediate pursuit by police.
In a chase that led officials to the Bahia Apartments located at 2902 Sycamore Court, the three suspects fled the stolen Hyundai on foot, but they were quickly arrested, according to ABC Action News. The authorities have not released any details concerning possible charges or the identities of the suspects as the investigation is ongoing.
Fortunately, while the event surely was traumatic, the victim of the carjacking was not injured during the ordeal.
