The deceased has been identified as Kashmir Vaughn. While the second victim currently receives treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, police are still piecing together the events that led to the shooting. "Initial information was learned that two groups of people were in a verbal argument inside the fenced area of the apartment swimming pool area where the shooting took place," Phoenix Police detailed in a statement obtained by FOX 10 Phoenix.
