
The Metropolitan Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into a fatal shooting that shook the Northeast community this past Thursday. The incident, which occurred in the afternoon on Bryant Street, left 26-year-old Hassan Kamara Jr. of Takoma Park, MD, dead from gunshot wounds. According to official reports, police responded around 3:30 p.m. to calls regarding the shooting and discovered Kamara Jr. critically injured.
After arriving on the scene, DC Fire and EMS quickly transported him to a local hospital. Despite intensive efforts to save his life, the victim was later pronounced dead. In light of the young man's death, who had been cut down in the bloom of his youth, the police are appealing to the public for information. A reward of up to $25,000 has been offered by authorities for details that lead to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for this homicide.
