The deadly encounter unfolded on July 20 in the 2400 block of Loyola Northway where 30-year-old Alan Grant suffered fatal injuries while a 27-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man survived with injuries. The investigation led detectives to Pressley, who they believe to be the perpetrator behind the violence that claimed Grant’s life and marred others.

Pressley was located and arrested by Warrant Apprehension detectives on July 24 where they found him in a residence on the 2000 block of East 31st Street. The arrest was achieved without further incident.

The suspect was subsequently transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility where the weight of the law began to press upon him.
