
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay's skyline has a new addition, the 'Phoenix Rising' roller coaster, which officially began thrilling guests on Sunday. The ride stands out as the first in the theme park to incorporate onboard audio, creating an all-encompassing experience as attendees soar through the air. According to a FOX 13 interview with Erick Elliot, the park's VP of Design and Engineering, riders can expect a great immersive ride complete with a dynamic audio track that enhances the twisting journey.
Regina Gonzalez of FOX 13 was among the first to experience the coaster, riding front row next to Elliot, who has witnessed 'Phoenix Rising' slowly to come to fruition over the last 18 months. The coaster's peak soars up to 80 feet, propelling guests at speeds that can reach 44 mph. Attractions Magazine shared insight into the ride’s specifics, pointing out that it's not just another coaster it's North America's tallest and longest inverted family coaster, and it's the park's 10th roller coaster addition.
