The Phoenix Police are currently investigating a significant theft that occurred at a local business, where perpetrators made off with several thousands of dollars worth of collectible items. According to FOX 10 Phoenix, the items stolen included rare memorabilia predominantly from the Star Wars franchise, which hold not only substantial monetary value but also sentimental value to fans and collectors alike.

It appears that the stolen goods came from Collector's Marketplace, a popular spot for nostalgia enthusiasts and collectors. "It reminds people of a simpler time in their lives when all it took was a new action figure to make you happy," Senior Manager David Crowe told FOX 10 Phoenix. The theft has been described as targeted and knowledgeable, with approximately 300 vintage Star Wars figures from the 1980s, still in their original packaging, being among the items stolen.

Reports indicate that a three-foot-tall Godzilla statue was among the notable items taken. Manager Crowe emphasized the rarity of the figures stolen, stating, "Someone was very knowledgeable about what they took, because they took approximately 300 vintage Star Wars figures that were still in the package from the 1980s, including the last ones made in the 80s. Those are the rarest ones in existence," as stated by Headtopics. In addition to the action figures, lightsaber replicas sourced from Disneyland were also listed among the missing items.

The burglary has inflicted a considerable blow to Collector's Marketplace, not only in a financial sense but also in terms of the community's trust and the shared passion that the store has fostered over the years. David Crowe expressed the emotional toll it has taken on their tight-knit team. " We are all like family, so we know it couldn’t be an inside job," Crowe explained. "It was just some stranger who was wrecking our hard work," he added, as per FOX 10 Phoenix.
