Tragedy struck in Dallas on Wednesday night when a shooting occurred at what has been reported as an illegal gambling venue in the 300 block of E. Ledbetter Drive. The Dallas Police Department was called to the scene around 8:45 p.m. after receiving a notification of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered two men with gunshot wounds. Estevan Narvaez Jr., 40, was pronounced dead at the scene, and the second man was transported to a hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
The investigation, which is still in its initial phases, suggests that the incident was a robbery gone violent. According to the Dallas Police Department, at least two individuals entered the establishment demanding property from those inside. During the robbery, Estevan Narvaez Jr. was fatally shot, the suspects then fled the premises. As of now, the authorities have not released any information regarding the description of the suspects involved.
