Dallas, brace for a wet and stormy week ahead. The National Weather Service Fort Worth TX has issued a forecast predicting a series of showers and thunderstorms starting from the early hours of Monday, July 8. With a 30 percent chance of precipitation after 4 am, conditions are expected to escalate to a 100 percent chance of heavy rain accompanied by the possibility of a thunderstorm after 1 pm. Winds may gust as high as 25 mph, and new rainfall amounts could accumulate between three-quarters and one inch, according to the National Weather Service.
The overnight disturbances will carry over into Monday night with showers likely, and a possible thunderstorm before 10 pm. Afterward, there’s a chance of additional showers and thunderstorms until 1 am. The outlook warns of strong, to borderline severe wind gusts and localized heavy rain, particularly for areas along and east of I-45. A more serene pattern is forecasted to begin Tuesday with mostly sunny skies and a calmer north wind of around 10 mph.
Following the tumultuous start to the week, Dallas residents can anticipate shedding their umbrellas for sunglasses as the weather forecast suggests a sunny outlook from Wednesday onwards. Temperatures are projected to climb steadily, reaching a high near 95 degrees on Wednesday, and potentially soaring to the upper 90s by the weekend, as per the National Weather Service.
Despite the calmer conditions midweek, the Hazardous Weather Outlook by the National Weather Service reminds the public that an unsettled pattern will maintain daily thunderstorm chances for the entirety of the week. Residents are advised to stay alert, despite the weather service not expecting spotter activation at this time. In essence, Dallas is in for a mix, of both showers and sunshine through the week, with caution urged during stormy intervals.
