Delaware County staff members are now better equipped to handle life-threatening situations, thanks to the Delco Revive Program. On July 25, employees from the Facilities Management Department received training in CPR and automated external defibrillator (AED) usage, as reported by Delaware County.

The training is a proactive push towards community well-being, each participant learned critical emergency response techniques. These skills could prove vital in crisis scenarios at the Courthouse and Government Center, or anywhere in the community for that matter. The hands-on session aimed at empowering local government workers to step in as first responders when seconds count.

In addition to CPR and AED training, the Delaware County Health Department’s initiative extends resources to fight the opioid crisis. They offer NARCAN® nasal spray and test strips to detect Xylazine and Fentanyl in drugs, along with wound care kits.

Materials and resources from the program are readily available at the Delaware County Wellness Centers in Yeadon and Chester, as well as at the DCHD Eddystone location, as detailed by Delaware County. The offices are open on weekdays, welcoming residents seeking aid or training.
