Early this Sunday morning, a vehicle incident shook the northwest side of San Antonio when a car crashed into a residential home. According to a report by KENS 5, the San Antonio Police Department is still piecing together the events that led a driver to lose control and collide with a dwelling in the 1400 block of Benrus Drive, close to Culebra Road and Callaghan Road, around 3 a.m.
Details surrounding the incident remain sparse,, yet authorities confirmed that while the individuals inside the house managed to escape without any injuries, the driver's fate in terms of potential charges remains undetermined. Echoing this report, FOX San Antonio stated that the vehicle involved was an SUV, which impacted the home at the intersection of Benrus Dr. and Cannon Dr.
The San Antonio Police, who were on the scene shortly after the incident was reported, have established that all occupants of the home were safely evacuated. Furthermore, they noted that the SUV's driver was present when officers arrived. At present, the investigation continues, and SAPD has yet to provide an official cause for the incident or any details about whether the driver will be held accountable.
