President Davo had marked a decade as a musician, and The Baltimore Sun had highlighted his work "Born in the Trenches" as one of the definitive Baltimore songs of 2017. His manager, Drea England, in a past interview, had described Boykin, a devoted father of three children, whose loss is felt not just through the prism of music but within the heart of the family, as cited by The Baltimore Sun.

The pursuit to apprehend Earl Lee was extended until he met with parole and probation in November due to previous unrelated convictions. Found guilty by a jury after only 45 minutes of consideration, according to court records, as per WMAR2News, Lee is scheduled for sentencing on October 1st and is currently held at the Maryland Reception Diagnostic & Classification Center. Efforts to reach Lee's attorney, Paul Kramer, for comment were not met with any response.
