
Two arrests were made following a reported armed robbery that occurred yesterday evening at the parking lot of 7319 Ritchie Highway, as per a press release from the local police department. The victim, a 54-year-old male, walked into the Northern District police station shortly before 11 p.m. to report the unsettling incident. He claimed to have been approached and threatened by several males dressed in black, who demanded money and brandished what appeared to be a handgun and an aluminum baseball bat, according to Anne Arundel County Police Department.
The officers on duty dispatched units to the location and were successful in apprehending two suspects. Carlos Enrique Mejia, an 18-year-old male with no fixed address, and Jefferson-Adonis Lopes Ochoa, a 20-year-old residing in Dundalk, Maryland, were taken into custody. Items recovered from the suspects included an Airsoft gun and an aluminum baseball bat, aligning with the victim's account of the confrontation.
The ongoing investigation by the Northern District detectives aims to identify and locate the other individuals involved in the robbery.
